I am a Pastor and a musician, holding a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN as well as a Master of Sacred Music degree from Luther Seminary in cooperation with St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. I completed four unites of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education).
I have a strong passion for faith-shaping ministry, helping people engage in a lifelong faith and passing faith stories down to the next generation, making Christ known and making a difference in the world.
I enjoy preaching. People have told me that my sermons are compelling and inspiring with Biblical strength and practical applications. I often share true inspirational stories or personal testimonies and include the section of “Questions to ponder and challenge,” always sending people with word of hope and how to apply the sermon to their lives.
I provide Pastoral Care to meet people’s spiritual and emotional needs, taking journey alongside with those going through difficult times as well as taking church to those not being able to come to church due to health conditions.
I enjoy conducting, playing the organ, planning worship, crafting special services and leading hymn based-Bible study. I also enjoy writing drama scripts, newsletter articles and pieces telling the story behind the hymn. I strive for enhancing worship and worshipful life of people–to that end, incorporating worship with worship arts.
I built webs of relationships through events, including a Reformation Sunday drama, Advent Festival, a passion play, “The Passion of the Christ from Birth to Death” the Community Hymn Festival and Messiah-Sing-Along in cooperation with local churches. These brought people–young and old, traditional and contemporary musicians, worshipping in different times, and local churches and their communities–together. Through these events, a sense of community was built, the good news was spread, and the needy were fed.
I am grateful to God for the opportunities to be used as His instrument.
